Got to bing Mike home around 1:00 this afternoon.  After he was cleared by Dr...it was almost 3 hours before the paper work came up to release him...but all is well right now.  Again thanks for all your prayers.

Mike just called after the Dr left and it looks like Mike might get to come home tomorrow...boy this has been a long haul.  Your prayers and concerns have been greatly appreciated.

Cindy took our two youngest to a food truck/ art fair tonight.  They are having a great time.

2nd day in hospital...right leg very swollen and extremely red.  They are calling it cellulitis and told me today that he will probably be in the rest of this week.  They are treating him with very heavy antibiotics and he actually is a little improved today.  The best news today is that he does not have blood clots.  Prayers really appreciated.

Just wanted to let you all know that I had to admit Mike to the hospital today around noon.  I'll keep you posted as I get some answers....he will probably be a stay for 3-5 days

I sure am thinking about sweet Patsy tonight and would love to talk to her about her insight and thoughts about the absolutely dirty politics that Trump is playing scarier each day.  I hope people wake up and realize he has 42 pending law suits against him that will not go away.  That his supporters are calling for Hillary's assassination...Grandpa Powell would have said pray for our country because going Trump way is Hell in a Handbasket.  I am beyond worried.

Today was William Jewell's Homecoming an we had a beautiful day.  I was in good enough shape to walk around with my cane.  We just had the best day!

Busy, Busy weekend...Paxton's team won their homecoming game and Sam played at half time.  Then Sat morning Sam marched in the Gladfest parade.  Saturday afternoon Tanner tested for brown belt in Karate....whew

We have stayed in on this rainy night and had pizza.  Sam didn't have to play because it is an away game, but Pax is playing and grandpa is watching the game on tv.  I really don't worry about Pax to much...he usually doesn't play.  Also tonight...Cindy started decorating for fall.

Today is last day of antibiotic and my horrible yeast infection is clearing up.  Today I actually drove and took myself to out patient therapy.  Things are getting better and I really want to thank you all for the kind words and prayers.  I'm going to try and take a picture of my healing knee...it is very tight, but not much pain any more. 

Got to go to my regular MD this morning...I told her I thought I just needed her to hold my hand because I was falling apart.  She said my knee looks great and she thought the swelling in my face wasn't too bad.  It seems what I now have is a horrible yeast infection...I have a place on my belly about the size of a football that just looks and feels scalded.  I'm so glad I was able to get into my Dr this morning and now I just know I will be on the mend...thanks for your loving prayers!

I really am not doing well health wise...Wednesday I had to have my tooth extracted.  So much infection....we have to be careful the infection does not go to my knee.  I really still feel awful...need all your prayers please.

Home Health came today for the last time....next Tuesday I start out patient therapy.  Almost seeing light at the end of this.  Today I actually got to drive for the first time in six weeks... WENT AND GOT MY HAIR CUT.....YIPPEE‼️

Senior Year

Tonight was Paxton's first game...they were leading 27 - 7 with a rain delayed continuance tomorrow.

I find it beyond sad that anyone can support trump....it use to be called treason when you call for someone to assassinate someone running for President.?How DARE HIM!!!!! I heard him say it....it is not the interaputation by a newscaster or a journalist.

Almost a week...the pain just keeps coming and going.  Sure be glad when this passes😢

Finally Home

I had a partial knee replacement on Wednesday morning.  They let me come home last night around 6:30.

Kind of not as painful today and glad it is over.

The kids made a wonderful dinner for us last night...we all played games and laughed a lot.  The from scratch cake Dawn made for us was delicious!

50 years ago

On a very hot July 23rd in 1966 we got married in St.Louis.  Boy time sure flies fast!

Touring the Art Museum

Here is Tanner yesterday...Grandpa and I took him to the Nelson Art Museum over in town.  He was really pumped!  We did this for his Art merit badge he will take down at Scout camp.  Tanner really had a great time.

Happy Father's Day

I loved and respected my Daddy so much.  He was a man of integrity, honesty, Christian values, respectful and such a loving husband and Daddy.  I am glad I found and married a wonderful man with all those same qualities.  He was never outspoken about his politics, but Mom took care of that for the both of them.  I certainly know that neither of them would have supported or voted for Trump...I really feel like Trump is a traitor our American values.

Today was the final memorial for my dear friend.  We had Sam excused from summer school. He was both a greeter and usher.  Mike was a greeter and I was an usher.  Huge crowd came to say good by to our sweet Anna Mae....as I said in the memorial I did yesterday...if that little body could only have kept up with that sharp 94 year old mind...there would have been know stopping her.  Anna Mae was family to me and Sam and Mike loved her too.

Last Day

Today was the last day of school for the boys.  Sam has been through H.. and back this year and I am so proud of him for finishing strong.  He got all A's, B's and just one C which was in Physics.  Sam is in all regular classes, not in special Ed for high school...our journey with him takes a team...but we are all just busting our buttons with pride about how these grades turned out.  Here is a posting he took tonight at Marching band practice...love it!

Paxton sure had a great time at prom last night.

They all went to a friend's house after prom...all the different parents donated the snacks and food...so happy it was a fun, safe time.

Wedding

We had such a wonderful time at our nephews wedding this last weekend.  The wedding was in Seneca Kansas at the most beautiful church named St. Mary's ...I'm going try and post some if the beautiful pictures for you.

Today Cindy went to a Zeta Day that was in KC.  She recueved her 25 year of service pin.  So nice to we a smile on her face.

The days have not been going very well...our ex son-in-law continues to be hateful and Jean to our daughter.  Just when I reach in prayer for forgiving him....he does something more hateful to our daughter!   Whew...I'm glad I gave low blood pressure!

We have had beautiful weather all weekend...Saturday it got up to 74*....just awesome, then Monday morning back to heavy winter coats!!!  Hope to see you all once school is out!!!

Friday I will get my fifth round of shots for my knees...I sure wish they would stop hurting.  My right knee has been hurting since three weeks before Christmas...I have been walking with a cain all this time...I just wonder when I will get back to walking.

Cindy and I opened another antique booth this last weekend...hope we have better luck this time.

DNA sample sent to Ancestry ...they just emailed that it has arrived.  We had our son Paul do the sample...kind of excited to see the results.  You know my Dad's Mom always claimed Cherokee...my Mije said, " Don't be surprised if it comes back African American!"  He is so helpful😁

Cindy and Sam went to a Mavericks (our hockey team)...so glad they are having a good time!  Mike and I had a couple of friends over for pizza and a movie.  We watched The Intern and loved it.  It was a good winter break!

Today was much better...Sam is home.  We have gotten so use to him being here ...we miss him when he us not here.  This post below is for my soon to be son-in-law..teehee

Sure need prayers ...I am really struggling with feeling toward my ex son-in- law.  I know things will get easier, but just when I let my guard down a moment...he brings new hateful drama into our lives.  I know it has been a break time...but because of Sam we keep our mouth shut...whew

I know God is in charge...so I'm doing my best to lean on Him
